Volunteering with GSP Rescue of Idaho:

Even if you are unable to adopt a GSP of your own, or provide foster care for a needy GSP, there are MANY other ways to volunteer, and each of them is important, valuable, and appreciated. Here's just a few suggestions to get you started:

Volunteer to update photos and dog descriptions on the web page

bullet

Volunteer to do breed identifications at the shelter

bullet

Volunteer to be part of the phone tree

bullet

Volunteer to list available GSP's on other rescue sites

bullet

Volunteer to walk some dogs

bullet

Donate one or more bags of food to GSP Rescue

bullet

Donate one or more dog toys to GSP Rescue

bullet

Offer to put up posters or flyers about needy GSP's in your town

bullet

Run an ad in your hometown paper about GSP's needing new homes

bullet

List GSP's needing homes on your local cable TV or radio station in the form of a public service announcement

bullet

Agree to take some rescue dogs to the vet

bullet

Donate one or more vet visits or a spay or neuter for a needy GSP

bullet

Offer to help out with socialization or training of rescued GSP's

bullet

Agree to man a booth at the local mall or fair describing GSP Rescue

bullet

How about providing a few collars, leashes, or food bowls to rescue?

Got a spare crate you could donate?

bullet

Clean out your linen cupboard and give GSP Rescue your old towels, sheets, blankets, etc. for bedding
