Our Mission:
... What Is GSP Rescue of Idaho? GSP Rescue of Idaho is a group of purebred GSP fanciers throughout the state of Idaho. Some are breeders, some are hunters, some show, some field trial, some just own a GSP of their own as a pet...The one thing that we all have in common is our love for our chosen breed: The German Shorthaired Pointer.
We believe that promoting information about the breed, and both breeder and owner education is the key to reducing the need for GSP Rescue in Idaho. GSP Rescue of Idaho is made up of volunteers who donate time, space, love, and efforts needed to rescue GSP's that have been lost, stolen, placed in shelters, or are in danger of being euthanized. Occasionally, we assist GSP owners that have made the decision that they can no longer keep their dog and have chosen to surrender it for reasons beyond their control (such as military duty, transfer out of the country, illness, death, etc.)
Staffed entirely with volunteers and funded solely by donations, GSP Rescue of Idaho does what it can to assist all GSP's in need in the state, but sometimes our best efforts are not enough to help all of them in time.
